Richa Ghosh Biography
Richa Ghosh was born on Sunday, 28 September 2003, in Siliguri, West Bengal. Her father’s name is Manabendra Ghosh, and he was a club-level cricket player in his youth days. It was her father who inculcated her interest in the sport by taking Richa to the cricket grounds at a very young age.
Her mother, Swapna Ghosh, is a homemaker. She has an elder sister named Shomasree Ghosh. She completed her schooling at Margaret Sister Nivedita English School, Siliguri.
Career
In January 2020, she was named in India’s squad for the 2020 Australia women’s Tri-Nation Series. On 12 February 2020, she made her T20I debut against Australia.
She made her WODI debut on 21 September 2021 for India against Australia.
In February 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought her in the WPL auction for Rs 1.9 crore. (1)
