Dhruv Jurel (Cricketer) Biography
Dhruv Jurel was born on 21 January 2001 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name is Nem Singh Jurel. His father was in the Indian Army, and he retired as a Havaldar from the Indian Army in 2008. His mother, Rajani Jurel, is a homemaker. He has a sister named Neeru Jurel.
He studied at Army Public School, Agra. Dhruv has been interested in sports since childhood.
Career
Dhruv Jurel played youth cricket for Uttar Pradesh’s U-14, U-16 and U-19 teams.
In December 2019, he was named as the vice-captain of India’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. (1)
He made his Twenty20 debut on 10 January 2021 for Uttar Pradesh in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
He made his first-class debut on 17 February 2022, for Uttar Pradesh in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy.
Indian Premier League {IPL}
In 2022, he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament. Unfortunately, he did not get a chance to play in a single IPL match.
In 2023, he was again bought by Rajasthan Royals.
He made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals on 5 April 2023, and he scored 32 runs in just 15 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes.
